Cambridge Examination Preparation Courses All centres
Cambridge English Language Assessment provides a number of internationally recognised examinations for people who need formal certification of their English language proficiency.
Cambridge Examination Courses at CES are designed to prepare students for one of the following Cambridge Examinations:
- First Certificate in English - FCE (B2 First)
- Certificate in Advanced English - CAE (C1 Advanced)
The Cambridge Examinations usually take place four times per year, mid-March, mid-June, mid-August, and mid-December. Our courses are planned to finish on the week before the exam will take place.
In Ireland and Canada, this course runs as full-time exam preparation course. In the UK, morning lessons will help to build general English knowledge (20 lessons) and the afternoon lessons focus on exam preparation (10 lessons).
What level do you need to take the course?
Students planning to take the FCE course should be at minimum level B2 (upper-intermediate) and for the CAE at C1 (advanced) level. We cannot accept a student for any examination course until CES has confirmed the student is at the appropriate level for their chosen examination. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to take a level test onine.
Please note that CES Dublin, CES Harrogate, CES Leeds and CES Toronto are official Cambridge Test centres, so you can take your exam in the same CES school you studied in. Other CES centres will help you apply for and organise your examination.
Where can I take my Cambridge Exam?
You can take your FCE or CAE exam near to all of the CES locations but in three of our schools, Dublin, Toronto, and Leeds, we also have CES Test Centres where you can book and take your exam.
Visit our test centre websites if you would like to book your exam with us. In our other schools, we will help you find a test centre nearby to book your exam.
