Standard Course + IELTS Preparation 

The Standard General English and IELTS Course take place all year round.

Morning lessons follow the same programme as the Standard Course from Monday to Friday 
(09.30 -13.00 in the UK or 09.00-13.00 in Ireland).
 

In the morning class, you will work on improving the skills involved with speaking, listening, reading and writing, so that you can improve your comprehension and communicate more freely. You will also work on your linguistic knowledge, increasing your vocabulary and deepening your understanding of the grammar and structure of the language. Courses at CES are communicative and task-based, using a core text book, the most up to date technology and authentic materials.

You will receive expert tuition and ongoing feedback from your teachers in order for you to make rapid and lasting progress. With access to the CES Online Learning Platform, you will be able to plan your studies to make the most of your stay.

Levels available: Elementary (A1), Pre-intermediate (A2), Intermediate (B1), Upper Intermediate (B2) Advanced (C1). Please contact us if toy are interested in classes at Beginner (A1-), or Proficiency (C2) level.

There are three afternoons a week of IELTS preparation lessons Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (14.00 -16.30 in the UK and 14.00-16.00 in Ireland) This course focuses on improving students’ English, as well as on developing their exam techniques. At the end of each week, students will sit one part of an IELTS exam, under exam conditions. The IELTS classes are topic-based and follow coursebook content as well as learner training and exam techniques.

Levels Available: Intermediate (4.0-5.0), Upper-Intermediate (5.0-6.0), Advanced (6.0-7.5)

The minimum age is 16 and there is a maximum of 14 students per class.

An IELTS Preparation course is 30 lessons (22.5 hours) per week.15 hours General English in the mornings and 7.5 hours IELTS preparation in the afternoons (Tuesday to Thursday) in the UK and 26 hours in Ireland.

1 lesson in the UK = 45 minutes 
1 lesson in Ireland = 55 minutes
