Course Overview
This is a general language development course aimed at teachers. This course is tied to the CES curriculum framework which is closely tied to the CEFR and utilises learning outcomes appropriate to the level of the learners. This course will blend general language development with a focus on pedagogy and certain teaching methods and contexts. We will look at the theory and the practice behind some of the lessons we provide.
Course Aims
The course will aim to meet the course participants language needs and to help support them on their journey as an independent language learner. This course will also encourage participants to think of the way lessons are delivered and to begin to reconsider the implications of certain choices that a teacher makes both in the planning and delivery of lessons.
Who is this course suitable for?
This course is suitable for teacher at all levels of language development and of pedagogical competency. The content of this course can be modified based on the needs as expressed by the course participants to ensure that all of the participants have their needs met.
What is in this course?
The scheduling of this course is quite flexible due to the nature of it being tied to the needs of the participants. The needs analysis aspect of this course is crucial as the outcome of this will constitute the primary content which the course participants will engage with.
