Centre of English Studies are looking for talented and motivated English Language Teachers for our Oxford adult school as well as for our three Dublin junior summer schools.

The Centre of English Studies (CES) is one of the largest, private, English as a Second Language schools in Oxford and a proud member of the CES group of 8 schools in Ireland, the UK and North America.  We are committed to quality of the highest standard in the areas of academics and services.


All applicants must hold a primary degree (Level 7 NFQ) plus a CELTA/CELT or Trinity Cert TESOL teaching qualification or equivalent.

Teachers for the JUNIOR program must possess the above qualifications or have a Bachelor’s of Education (junior/intermediate or Senior). ESL Part 1 and/or 2 is an asset but not required. One year or more of teaching experience (preferred).

Teachers for our ADULT program must possess a University degree AND one of either a TESL certificate, a CELTA or Trinity TESOL certificate. One year or more of teaching experience (preferred).

Successful candidate must provide proof of qualifications, right to work in the country and be a clear a DBS check

Job Description: Teaching English to international adults / teenagers

  • Preparing and delivering morning lessons
  • Completing daily record sheets and weekly reports as required
  • Additional work available on our social programme
